Application
In many applications, the tool or cylinder needs to be advanced fast and when it comes to touching the job, in order to avoid accidents it needs to slow down, do the cutting operation at slower speed and return fast. This is aptly done by the Fast Slow system. Another popular application is parison control in blow moulding system where material has to come out with even thickness and at a slower pace.
Operation
In advancing the solenoid valve (if normally closed) is energized, at the appropriate travel it is de energized so that oil will now pass through the pressure compensated flow control valve. The Flow Control valve is generally set to 2lpm or less. Thus the cylinder moves at a slow speed and gives a slow speed rate that is desired. The return flow is over the check valve and cylinder returns rapidly.
Features
The system is mounted on the framework of the machine tool itself. The compact nature of the hydraulic system reduces the need for bulky valves and piping. Hardened cartridge working parts give a high performance product.
