The valve is used to limit the pressure in the system. This economical solution for small flow systems is also suited for pilot systems. Being a direct operated, zero leak valve and its compact nature, the valve finds applications in most hydraulic systems.

As with all direct acting relief valves, when the pressure at the Pressure Port (1) exceeds the spring force, the poppet shifts backward opening the radial holes and allowing the flow from the Pressure Port to the Tank Port (2). The pressure can be set by adjusting the set screw.

Matched ground and hardened working parts give a long and trouble free life. Consistent stable operation providing low pressure over ride even with increasing flows. Cartridge type construction gives maximum flexibility in mounting.
